We are not able to print parking lot lines in white at this time. Our parking lot graphics are produced with yellow lines as a standard design and cannot be customized for individual orders.
Why Yellow Lines?
Great question! We're based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where yellow parking lot lines are the regional standard. In northern states that experience heavy snowfall, yellow lines are commonly used because they're easier to see against snow and ice compared to white lines.
We understand that in many parts of the country—particularly the Southwest, Gulf states, and Southeast—white parking lot lines are the norm. Regional differences in road markings are more common than most people realize!
Tips for Your Layout
If your diorama or layout represents a region where white lines are standard, consider these options:
- Use the yellow-lined lots as-is — many viewers won't notice the difference
- Set your scene in a northern location — the yellow lines will be regionally accurate
- Weather or modify the kit — skilled modelers sometimes paint over or weather details during assembly
